Blue Horseshoe, Retail Realm Team on Dynamics AX for the Beverage Industry

Retail Realm and Blue Horseshoe Solutions have announced that thanks to their software partnership, Blue Horseshoe has been able to extend Microsoft Dynamics AX in the beer, wine and spirits industry.

Last month Blue Horseshoe, a supply chain solution provider, signed a deal with one of Nevada’s largest liquor store chains to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX, according to officials of the partners.

A major factor in the liquor store chain’s decision was the addition of RR mAX, an integrated solution developed by Retail Realm that extends the out-of-the box retail functionality of Dynamics AX, officials said.

“Retail Realm’s RR mAX solution helps us elegantly solve a few unique challenges we encountered in the retail beverage industry,” said Justin Carter, Microsoft MVP and solutions architect for Blue Horseshoe in a statement. “For example, with the large, ever-changing number of SKUs in the stores, RR mAX’s advanced item search capabilities will enable the store associates to search by any number of fields to return the appropriate product. This also extends to quickly adding multiple items and quantities with just a few clicks.”

Construction Firm Taps Levtech Consulting for Dynamics AX

Microsoft partner Levtech Consulting has announced that it has been selected by Qatar-based Construction Development Company (CDC) to implement Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3.

The project aims to automate business functions and build a single operational platform across the group, according to company officials. CDC expects to go live with Dynamics AX in July.

CDC selected Levtech after an extensive evaluation process because the company demonstrated that it was able to successfully implement Dynamics AX, officials said.

“At Levtech, we have a clear understanding of processes within project-based industries, and this has helped us leverage several unique features of Dynamics AX, such as the seamless interface with Microsoft Projects, powerful timesheet management, and deep automation of finance, supply chain and HR operations,” said Sekhar Ramarao, Regional Manager – Consulting & Presales, Levtech Consulting, in a statement. “This will definitely help CDC maintain control over their projects and budgets, reduce costs, boost productivity and ultimately, achieve business growth.”

Touchstone CRM Deploys Dynamics CRM for First Names Group

First Names Group, a provider of trust, corporate and fund administration services in the UK, has chosen Touchstone CRM to implement its global CRM program, beginning with the launce of a sales tool to manage contact information collaboratively for its intermediaries across the organization.

First Names Group selected Microsoft Dynamics CRM from Touchstone, in part because it was hosted in the cloud and would meet the company’s future business needs, according to company officials.

A phased rollout will equip 175 First Names Group users with a mix of Dynamics CRM basic and professional licenses, saving First Names Group money by paying only for those capabilities required for the users’ roles, officials said.

“Because First Names Group has invested in three platforms-for development, testing and live-they have eliminated risk and can constantly improve and add features without any impact on everyday user operation,” said Touchstone Project Manager and CRM consultant Lucy Money, in a statement.

Pinnacle Partners with Nolan Business Solutions on Dynamics GP

The Pinnacle Corporation (Pinnacle), a supplier of automation technology to the convenience retail and petroleum industries, has teamed up with Microsoft Dynamics GP ISV Nolan Business Solutions (Nolan) to become a reseller of Nolan’s InterCompany Postings and Advanced Bank Reconciliation modules; enhancing integration with Microsoft Dynamics GP through Pinnacle Fuel Smart and Auditor.

The addition of Nolan’s features will give Pinnacle’s customers using Fuel Smart, a provider of fuel inventory management, and Auditor, a retail accounting solution the data and tools they need to make existing processes easier and more efficient, according to officials of the companies.

The automated and consolidated features of Advanced Bank Reconciliation for Dynamics GP make reconciliation a much easier task, officials said. And the InterCompany Postings integration with Dynamics GP improves the purchase process by providing immediate updates and visibility within destination accounts, officials said.

“We are thrilled to enter into this strategic partnership with Pinnacle and look forward to the opportunities this will bring to our mutual clients,” said Kim Haythornthwaite, general manager Nolan Business Solutions, in a statement.
