Microsoft, Jabil Team on Quality Assurance platform for Predictive Analytics

Microsoft has announced that Jabil, a design and manufacturing solution provider, has built its predictive analytics solution on Microsoft Azure Machine Learning.

Because the new platform predicts errors or failures on the assembly floor before they occur, it saves customers time and money and shortens the product lead times throughout the supply chain, according to officials of the two companies. Jabil has rolled out the platform at its sites in Penang, Malaysia, and Guadalajara, Mexico, and plans to deploy the solution to its facilities worldwide.

Collaborating with Microsoft, Jabil is using Azure services to analyze millions of data points from machines running dozens of steps throughout the manufacturing process, officials said. Azure Machine Learning enables Jabil to help predict failures earlier in the process, e.g., step two in a 32-step process instead of step 15, according to officials.

In addition to helping companies save time and money by reducing waste, Jabil’s operators and engineers can also proactively adjust equipment based on predictions, eliminating the need for unnecessary inspections that cause downtime, officials.

SaaSplaza Earns Gold Cloud Platform Microsoft Partner Competency

SaaSplaza‘s experience managing Microsoft Dynamics on Microsoft Azure has earned the company Gold Cloud Platform status for the second consecutive year. SaaSplaza is currently implementing Microsoft Dynamics solutions using eight Microsoft Azure centers.

SaaSplaza has also held the Microsoft Gold Hosting competency for many years.

SIGNiX Partners with xRM on eSignatures for Dynamics CRM

SIGNiX is joining forces with Microsoft Dynamics CRM partner xRM to integrate its digital signature technology into Dynamics CRM.

The integration will embed SIGNiX’s Independent E-Signature solution into Dynamics CRM Online and Dynamics CRM on-premise to let users track prospects, manage clients, and close deals without ever leaving the app.

SIGNiX’s Independent E-Signatures permanently embed the legal evidence of an e-signature into a signed document using public-key infrastructure, according to officials. SIGNiX’s Independent E-Signatures also offers detailed audit trails, identity authentication, and tamper-evident technology.

“Our goal is to provide the ability for businesses to quickly and easily send out documents for electronic signatures from Microsoft Dynamics CRM, regardless of whether you use Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online or Microsoft Dynamics CRM on premise,” said Patrick McLean, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of xRM, in a statement.

SalesPad Launches EDI Integration for Dynamics GP

SalesPad LLC has launched an electronic-data interchange (EDI) integration for Microsoft Dynamics GP powered by the SPS Commerce Retail Network.

SalesPad EDI, powered by SPS Commerce, exchanges data out of and into SalesPad Desktop (formerly SalesPad GP) for omnichannel retail operations, according to company officials.

Connecting SalesPad EDI to SPS Commerce’s cloud-based platform helps users eliminate the manual entry of purchase orders, sales, notices, and invoices with trading partners, officials said.

SalesPad EDI uses an intuitive, rule-based workflow that gives companies total control to receive purchase orders that generate sales documents in SalesPad and Dynamics GP, send advanced shipping notices and invoices, and make inventory inquiries, officials said.
