Six Degrees Group Acquires Dynamics Partner Insite

Six Degrees Group (6DG) has acquired application hosting provider Insite Limited, a UK provider of Microsoft Dynamics AX hosting and managed services in the cloud. Insite specializes in hosting and managing business-critical applications based on Microsoft technologies.

A Microsoft Gold Partner for server and data platforms as well as hosting, Insite brings critical Microsoft Azure public cloud knowledge to 6DG, according to company officials. Insite sells its services directly to customers as well as through partnerships with major ISVs. These partners handle the application development and rollout with Insite providing the PaaS (platform-as-a-service) elements, officials said.

“This announcement is a continuation of our stated strategic goal to enhance our capabilities in mission-critical application hosting, with a secure and compliant wrap, for business and government customers,” said Alastair Mills, CEO of 6DG, in a statement. “It also provides Microsoft Azure expertise in the public cloud for both IaaS (infrastructure as a service) and PaaS, as well as a strong ISV partner channel.”

Flintfox Hires Director to Expand Dynamics ERP Services in Australasia

Flintfox International has hired Duncan Cox as its Engagement Director Australasia for the consulting services arm of the company. The appointment is aimed at strengthening and expanding Flintfox’ consulting services in Australia and New Zealand as it continues to bring on new customers.

Cox brings his expertise in Microsoft Dynamics consulting services and project management to his new position, according to company officials. He has been charged with “aggressively” growing the Microsoft Dynamics consulting services and implementation capability for Flintfox to meet the needs of existing and new customers in the region.

Before joining Flintfox, Cox managed Adaptable Solutions, a Microsoft Dynamics Partner in New Zealand, for 13 years before it was sold last year. Part of the Flintfox Consulting Group subsidiary, his new position will enable Flintfox to speed the implementation and delivery of customer solutions in the region, officials said.

“With our proven track record and Duncan’s extensive local knowledge, we are well placed to deliver Microsoft Dynamics ERP to the FMCG and wholesale distribution space where our own trade and revenue management solutions can be leveraged,” said Flintfox’ CEO Mike Ridgway, in a statement.
