Microsoft and BDO USA, LLP, the accounting, tax, consulting and advisory firm, are joining forces to bring cloud accounting services to its middle market clients.
The companies have announced BDODrive, a new and integrated solution for financial management, accounting services and business intelligence that leverages Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Azure.
Powered by Microsoft Cloud solutions, Microsoft and BDO claim that BDODrive offers clients:
- A real-time, mobile view of business performance, accessible via laptop, tablet or phone
- New levels of efficiency, security, business intelligence and standardized best practices to outsourced finance and accounting service
- Access to a dedicated team of experienced professionals to provide analysis, identify opportunities, mitigate risks and collaborate on growth strategies
- A scalable solution that adapts to clients’ needs as they grow and their business becomes more complex
BDO USA is “ideally positioned to drive adoption of cloud-based solutions at entrepreneurial companies,” said Paul White, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics SMB Product Marketing, in a statement. White added that while other professional service firms are trying to move their clients online, they do not provide the value-added advisory relationship that BDO brings to the table. “Their analysis and insight greatly enhances the impact of the online solution for clients.”
“Given the familiarity of middle market businesses with Microsoft, it was a priority for us to incorporate their technologies into BDODrive – our outsourcing solution for finance and accounting services,” said Kelly Johnson, Partner and National Practice Leader for Business Services & Outsourcing at BDO USA.
While users of outsourced services typically view their relationships as transactional, BDODrive is “about a relationship with a valued advisor, just as much as it is about achieving new levels of efficiency through leading-edge technology,” claims BDO.
The announcements of both the BDODrive release and BDO USA’s relationship with Microsoft, quickly follows an announcement last week of a strategic alliance between Microsoft and BDO globally. BDO is currently working with Microsoft on both existing and new solutions designed to deliver digitally-focused services to clients in more than 154 countries and territories worldwide.
