SS&C Technologies Holdings Inc., a provider of financial services software and software-enabled services, is acquiring CRM solution provider Salentica.

Salentica will become a platform partner to the firm’s Black Diamond wealth platform and deepen integrations and support for other SS&C clients, including APX, Axys, and Global Wealth Platform, company officials said.

The Salentica team has expertise in providing integrated CRM solutions for Microsoft Dynamics CRM as well as Salesforce CRM. The company will operate as a business unit under SS&C and the acquisition will add 30 employees, officials said.

Salentica has more than 5,000 users in firms with an average of more than $3 billion assets. Salentica’s clients include registered investment advisers, broker-dealers, family offices, institutional wealth managers, and trust companies, according to officials. Salentica’s leadership team, including president and founder Bill Rourke, will remain in their positions.

Under the new organization, Rourke reports to Dave Welling, managing director and co-general manager of SS&C Advent, who heads up SS&C’s wealth management strategy.

“Fundamentally this is an acquisition about adding deep expertise in CRM, a key component of the advisor technology ecosystem, and being able to bring that experience to large, complex advisory firms,” Welling said in a statement.

Welling stated that Salentica’s knowledge and experience will help clients using the Black Diamond wealth platform and other SS&C solutions with their wealth management CRM implementations.

Salentica has a history of specializing in the financial services space. In 2014, Salentica rolled out Version 3 of its Schwab OpenView Gateway integration that enabled users to securely move money directly from within Salentica CRM, which supports Microsoft Dynamics CRM, via the Schwab OpenView Gateway integration to Schwab Advisor Center. They first teamed up with Schwab Intelligent Technologies to offer the Schwab OpenView Gateway for both Salentica CRM and Microsoft Dynamics CRM users in 2013.

Also in 2013, Salentica announced its latest integration with TD Ameritrade Institutional Veo. This first release will provide easy access to Veo platform from Salentica CRM, powered by Microsoft Dynamics CRM to view real time client account data.
