My Home Move Goes Live on LexisOne ERP for Legal

My Home Move Ltd, a UK provider of mover conveyancing services, has gone live on LexisOne, the ERP solution for legal from LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions, which is powered by Microsoft Dynamics AX.

LexisOne helps firms proactively manage costs, prepare and track matter budgets, improve control, make informed decisions and optimize resources to better serve its clients, company officials said.

My Home Move chose LexisOne because it is built on Dynamics AX. In this first six-month phase of deployment, LexisOne has replaced the company’s legacy financial system, according to company officials.

Currently, My Home Move is able to institute common best practice finance methodologies to manage its multi-site and multi-entity operations, officials said. In the future, the company will deploy additional functionality incrementally.

Ultimately, with all the core data residing in LexisOne, the system will deliver a “single, authoritative version of truth,” according to officials. Both the data quality and the speed of reporting will significantly improve due to the functionality of the solution.

Dynamics 365 Extensions Available from Triomis

Triomis GmbH, a Dynamics CRM Partner from Dortmund, Germany has announced the availability of its extensions for Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Even after Microsoft merged Dynamics 365 for Sales and Dynamics CRM 365 for Services, formerly Dynamics CRM, the functions for sales tax calculation, copying of invoices, offers and orders, as well as mass mailing are not included, according to Triomis officials.

However, the functionality of Dynamics 365 can be extended by buying and installing apps from Triomis. Dynamics customers can install Triomis’ VAT Calculator, CopyEntity for copying sales objects as well as Campaign-it for e-mail marketing integration from Microsoft’s AppSource marketplace, company officials said.

Andreas Thurek, Triomis’ CTO and chief cloud architect, announced further extensions for automated billing of service contracts and subscriptions, as well as industry templates for veterinary and medical clinics, hotel management and club management.

“Dynamics 365 for Services is the core of these solutions,” he stated. “The service calendar provides an excellent basis for appointment and resource booking as well as service management.”

Softserve Implements Dynamics NAV 2016 for Puwakaramba Group

Microsoft partner Softserve (Pvt) Ltd has successfully implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 at Puwakaramba Group of Companies in a record time of three months, says the company.

The family-owned Sri Lanka-based Puwakaramba Group imports building materials, sanitary ware, and hardware items and also manufactures stainless steel kitchen sinks for distribution in the local market through its island-wide dealer network, according to officials of the companies. The group comprises five companies: Puwakaramba Agencies; TPS International; PGC Marketing; Metro Auto Mart; and PA Manufacturers.

Softserve successfully completed the Dynamics NAV implementation at TPS within three weeks without parallel runs of the existing system, which was completely replaced by the new system, officials said. The implementation for the other four companies, which were done after the TPS implementation, were completed successfully within two months.

“The most significant benefits to the Puwakaramba Group is the rich, integrated, easy to learn and easy to adapt functionalities of NAV, along with intuitive features and its wide accessibility over multiple devices,” said Mahesh Jayawardena, managing director, Softserve, in a statement. “The entire team can access data interchange between Dynamics NAV and the Microsoft office packages such as MS Excel, changing the traditional method of developing reports and viewing information that are technically dependent.”
