It looks like Snapchat is set to launch the new edition of Spectacles soon. The company first announced Spectacles back in 2016 and unfortunately it didn’t live up to the expectations.
Now it looks like the company is ready with the new Spectacles 2 which might make it to the market in Q3. As per the latest FCC filing, the second generation Spectacles 2 will come with WiFi and will have better performance. The design, however, will be the same as the original spectacles. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the documents, we weren’t able to gather much data about the spectacles.
However, we won’t have to wait too long to see what Snap has in store for us with the upcoming Spectacles 2. There are reports that Snap is already working on the third generation with a two-camera setup for 3D-like depth effect and a complete design overhaul.
