Ingram Micro recruits AvePoint to drive Microsoft adoption

Ingram Micro has unveiled a global partnership with AvePoint in a move designed to drive further adoption of Microsoft solutions through the channel.

Unveiled during Microsoft Inspire in Las Vegas, the distribution giant will list AvePoint’s solutions to migrate, manage and back-up data in Office 365 and Dynamics 365 across all Cloud Marketplaces worldwide.

The solutions will be offered at discounted rates for managed service providers (MSPs) who qualify under Ingram Micro’s new Modern Workplace Accelerate program.

Modern Workplace Accelerate is a global program designed to “simplify the complexity of the cloud” by delivering exclusive services, promotions and resources for partners to achieve “depth and scale” in Office 365, Microsoft 365 and Dynamics 365. This includes marketing services, sales tools, training, preferential pricing, cloud solutions and support.

“With more than 55,000 resellers around the world relying on the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, we are committed to ensuring our partners have the best solutions, services and enablement benefits to achieve success in their cloud business,” said Renée Bergeron, senior vice president of cloud computing at Ingram Micro.

“We chose AvePoint as our global Modern Workplace Accelerate partner because of their worldwide footprint, 18-year track record of innovating alongside Microsoft, and their superior commitment to partner success and the channel as a whole.”

AvePoint is the exclusive migration and back-up solution provider of the Modern Workplace Accelerate program and is also a preferred vendor globally for migration solutions and services, as well as Office 365 back-up and Dynamics 365 back-up in the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace.

“We’ve taken the same Office 365 migration and back-up solutions leveraged by the biggest brands and six million cloud users across the world and designed them specifically for MSPs to manage multiple clients and tenants behind a single pane of glass,” added Tianyi Jiang, co-CEO and co-founder of AvePoint.

“With the help of the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace, MSPs can access and deploy these easy-to-use enterprise-class SaaS solutions in seconds and start growing their Microsoft cloud business.”

The partnership follows the launch of a new global competition by Ingram Micro to recruit leading independent software vendors (ISVs) into the distributor’s channel ecosystem.

As reported by Channel Asia, applications will open on 1 August for the Comet Competition, with the aim of finding business-to-business software innovators whose products have “clear applications and potential implementations in the channel”.

Through simultaneous global competitions spanning five continents, the Comet Competition is set to award “significant funding” to 15 ISVs.

Specifically, the top finalist in each region will receive $100,000 in-kind go-to-market funding while the three runners-ups in each region will be awarded $50,000. The overall competition winner will receive $1,000,000 cash at Cloud Summit 2020.
