Microsoft Dynamics Gold Partner formed by two of the industry’s most experienced Dynamics AX senior executives.  The company provides business consulting and industry-focused enterprise software solutions based on the Microsoft Dynamics AX and CRM platforms, with a full range of services including professional services, maintenance and support. Additionally, they provide consulting and software development services to Microsoft Dynamics enterprise clients, ISVs and VARs worldwide. They support its clients from presales stages through implementation and go-live, as well as full product builds, from  concept to solution launch and support.

They have recently  announced the migration of its Dynamics AX Distribution and Ecommerce SaaS solution to Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform. They currently have ten distributors on its cloud platform, making it the largest Dynamics AX partner delivering its solution via Azure.

Bulk of Dynamics AX Solutions Consulting work in the US, Canada and Europe.

 

Approximately 200 permanent employees in North America currently, plans to grow aggressively.

Reporting:  Will be reporting directly to the Director of Consulting Services

Compensation:  $110-145k/yr + multiple bonus pools, outstanding benefits.

Travel:  35-50%

 

Objective:

 

The Architect – Sr. Consultant is responsible for managing and executing all phases of highly-complex hosted and non-hosted client implementations, including business analysis, system requirements, documentation, implementation, project planning, data conversion, and custom software requirements documentation.  The Architect – Senior Consultant becomes involved with a project at the time of inception, and leads the project thru the functional analysis, requirements gathering, designing, development, testing and final delivery. Develops training materials and delivers training to customer implementation team.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Delivers commitments on-time and on-budget
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations

·         Interact professionally with other employees and customers

·         Participate in and may lead business analysis of As/Is processes

  • Participate in and may lead defining To Be processes with clients
  • Document business and system requirements for system setup, configuration, and ongoing maintenance
  • Document the functional specs and works with the technical team as they translate these to technical specs for any custom software development
  • Create and manage work effort project plans
  • Escalate issues immediately and creates mitigation plans
  • Assist clients in understanding date requirements for data conversions
  • Help lead and execute the data conversion work-stream when required.
  • Resolve data issues and ensures data conversion accuracy
  • Leverage training materials for customer training and updates to make applicable to client solution
  • Train customer in the use Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • Provide testing assistance to customers
  • Assist with defining testing plans
  • Share product knowledge with team and client informally
  • Provide go-live support to customers
  • All roles are expected to collaborate on projects across the team and knowledge share across the Distribution Services practice

 

 

 

Knowledge and Skills:

 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX technical architecture, ERP systems, and web applications
  • Advanced business analysis skills with a demonstrated ability to solve business problems using technology
  • Advanced distribution and supply chain management experience required
  • Accounting knowledge and skills (general financials, accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, banking)
  • Ability to translate industry specific knowledge to help clients maximize Dynamics solution capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, perceptual acuity, speaking, and writing).”
  • Ability to hold and communicate a vision in a compelling manner.
  • Ability to express complex concepts in a clear manner with client, in training sessions and meetings
  • Demonstrated proactive approaches to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Ability to mentor peers
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 70% based on client projects

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • Minimum five (5) years of related work experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.  Master’s Degree preferred
  • Significant experience overseeing the installation, configuration, and use of Microsoft Dynamics AX software
  • Significant experience integrating Microsoft Dynamics AX with customer hardware and business applications
  • End to end AX implementation experience required
  • Team lead experience preferred
