The largest Event Technology Provider in North America at leading Hotels, Resorts, Venues and Convention Centers.  They support over   1.5 million meetings annually and, on average, are hired by more than 1,100 meeting planners and event organizers each day.

Organization has over 9,000 worldwide employees and is running at approximately $1.5 billion in annual revenues and has already filed for a future IPO.  They are currently owned by Goldman Sachs.

They partner with luxury hotels, large resorts, convention centers and operating as a 3rd party audio/visual provider.

 

Lkg for a Technical Lead – almost Mngr level – don’t need to be involved with  personnel Mngt, but can manage a project.  Ability to mentor the other 2 CRM analysts, both of which are pretty light on Dynamics CRM, but very bright.   .  Train & Mentor.

 

Has to be very social, ability to have conversations across multiple groups, set up meetings.

 

Can run Solution Architect meetings.

 

 

Currently running Dynamics CRM 2016 on Premise with Power Objects.  Supporting 3,000 users, spread throughout all departments.  Will soon have users in Canada, Mexico in 2017 – going global.

 

2 guys handle customer support except 20% that do become technical requests from production support – typically SQL related, SSRS work.  A lot of ad hoc SQL requests.

 

The majority of the time will be helping deliver on projects.  Integrating with Oracle for Financials and a homegrown order/entry system for the rest of the stuff.

 

Working with Power Objects on Custom Development, do code reviews, can write JavaScript and do plug in development.

 

A good degree of customization.  allot of clean up is required.

 

 

Location:  Rosemont, IL (Chicago-land)

Travel:  None required

Reporting:  Will be reporting directly to the CRM Manager

Compensation:  $80-100k/yr

 

 

 

 

 

 

Position Overview

The CRM team plays a key role in helping them understand their customers and improve their experience across all business lines. They do this by providing support, reporting, and insights into sales, marketing, and customer teams that help them deliver their stated objectives.

 

The CRM Technical Lead will own the CRM application development and architecture. They will work cross-functionally with IT and other assigned business sponsors to identify areas of opportunity for user training, application enhancements, and data quality and enrichment that help drive their customer retention and content marketing strategy. They will be responsible for providing training, guidance, and support to the other CRM team members. They will ensure quality and consistency in all team output and will develop and execute customer-centric analyses supporting the overall organization.

Responsibilities:                                                                                 

Microsoft CRM Application Development                                                  

The CRM Technical Lead will own the CRM application development and architecture. They will maintain the knowledge base of application development processes and technical standards. They will take ownership of the production source control environment for Microsoft Dynamics, including the deployment process for updates and enhancements.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on technical implementation and deployment of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
  • Configure and customize Microsoft Dynamics CRM. This will include writing JavaScript and developing plug-ins.
  • Perform configuration and customization code reviews.
  • Own and create technical specification documents; support and provide input into functional specification documents.

 

  • Work cross-functionally with other application developers to design and develop integrations between CRM and other applications (i.e. their order management system and Oracle).
  • Learn detailed business processes and design technical solutions to meet business process requirements.
  • Estimate configuration and customization work; develop high level project work plans.
  • Work with 3rdparty vendors, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM partners.
  • Facilitate infrastructure-related conversations with our 3rdparty on premise hosting vendor.

 

 

Database & Reporting Management                                                                

The CRM Technical Lead will also own database and reporting management, specifically as they relate to: 1) Daily support requests from our production users; 2) CRM Projects delivering new business requirements and functionality.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop SSRS Reports.
  • Design and develop FetchXML Reports.
  • Write ad hoc SQL queries to support advanced data requests from our production users.
  • Provide technical data support for all team analysis and reporting needs.
  • The CRM Team Lead must possess a passion and commitment to data quality.

 

People Development                                                                                       

The CRM Technical Lead will be responsible for mentoring CRM team members, with a focus on enhancing their individual technical skill sets.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide formal and ad hoc training internally and to other teams.
  • Champion best practices to help establish solid project-related processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with other teams.
