Sr. Dynamics NAV Practice Leader -Consulting Lead
A leading Microsoft Dynamics Partner is expanding into the Dynamics NAV solutions area for this region of the country(West Coast) and looking for a Dynamics NAV subject matter expert to be an integral an instrumental component to this strategy. The organization has been a successful Microsoft partner for over 20 years and has a very strong track record of implementation success and referenceable clients.
This is a small team affiliated with a much larger national consulting organization which provides you an opportunity to have a vested stake with the organization(true opportunity to affect change and provide direction + equity) while enjoying the benefits of a larger company with a national footprint and close ties to Microsoft.
While Dynamics NAV will be new to this geographic location and specific office, the larger, national practice has been delivering NAV solutions successfully for years and will provide support from both a sales and delivery standpoint.
Their unique Dynamics consultancy requires a NAV Practice Leader out of their Orange County, California office. We have established themselves over the last 10 years as leading Dynamics GP VAR specializing in the wholesale baking vertical. We are interested in marrying their business, consulting, development, and industry experience to Microsoft’s leading product for their target market—Dynamics NAV—and we need expertise in various aspects of NAV to accomplish this critical goal. The ideal candidate would have a history of actively participating in the growth of smaller consulting organizations, and in delivering high-quality consulting services to client companies.
Main responsibilities The main role of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV consultant is to assist clients in the deployment of the Dynamics NAV solutions which would include some of the following:
- implement Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP software, for their clients;
- rapidly grasp and analyze the essential elements of a business process to identify its strengths and areas which require improvement in the client-specific context;
- draft functional specifications for systems and custom development needs;
- see to the development of Navision-specific implementation methods;
- provide user training to the clients of the company.
Additionally, this role will be working very closely with the Managing Director and sales team in evaluating current go-to-market strategy, making adjustments, and executing accordingly.
Location: Aliso Viejo, CA
Travel: Negligible, less than 20%
Compensation: Market Value + Equity and benefits. Earning range from $125-175k/yr
Reporting: Reporting directly to the Managing Director

Work directly with clients as business analysts and technical experts. The purpose is to determine system requirements within Dynamics NAV that will meet clients’ business objectives. They also work closely with their internal project team to develop customizations, train end users and ultimately deploy Dynamics NAV.
Ensure client satisfaction at all times
Facilitate the successful implementation of Dynamics NAV using industry best practices
Work with clients to understand their business requirements and conduct gap analysis
Convert client requirements to functional specs and design documents
Design, configure and test core Dynamics NAV modules
Provide post-implementation support as needed

Participates in company projects providing input and expertise in specialty field.
Possess thorough knowledge and expertise in the application of all phases of implementation methodology.
Has the ability to develop and deliver quality presentations to clients and management.

Share and disseminate applicable information with client and team.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology or equivalent experience
5+ years experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
Exposure to business processes such as accounting, sales and marketing, or supply chain is preferred
SQL, scripting or network experience a plus!
Ability to work together as a team in the best interests of the client
Ability to communicate well both orally and in written English
Ability to travel to client sites when requested
Gp knowledge big plus
